Community Cleanup Groups
Are you a community cleanup group currently organizing at least 3 litter cleanups/year in NYC? Joining our cleanup group network will allow you to use our volunteer management platform to easily share your group's information and events to a broader audience, and help your group with registering and managing your volunteers.Please make sure to provide enough information about your group so that we are able to properly review your request. Are you under 18 years old or a parent/legal guardian of minors that would like to volunteer at Sanitation Foundation events? Volunteers can register for all our cleanups through our new Volunteer Hub—your go-to destination for citywide volunteer cleanup opportunities. Go to the homepage of our Volunteer Hub and click “Sign Up” at the top of the page. Complete the registration form and create a password. If you do not have an email address, use the format firstname.lastname@example.com (e.g. Jaden.Smith@example.com). As part of the registration process, you will be asked to complete a Volunteer Waiver.
Since you are under 18 years old, you will be asked to enter a parent/legal guardian’s name and email address. Your parent/legal guardian will be emailed the waiver and will need to review and sign it in order for you to participate in our event(s). This waiver only needs to be completed once a year. After the waiver is signed, you’ll be able to easily register for any of our future events using your account.

Creating a user account for a minor:
Go to the homepage of our Volunteer Hub and click “Sign Up” at the top. Complete the registration form for your minor. If your minor does not have an email address, use the format firstname.lastname@example.com (e.g. Jaden.Smith@example.com).
As part of the registration process, you will be asked to complete a Volunteer Waiver. Enter your name and email address (as the legal parent/guardian) and the waiver will be emailed to you to sign. This waiver only needs to be completed once a year. After the waiver is signed, you’ll be able to easily register your minor for any of our future events using their account.

Please reach out to us at volunteer@sanitationfoundation.org at least two weeks prior to a cleanup event with details about your group and the number of participants.
