Waste Audit Recap

You investigated waste at your school and came up with ideas for reducing the amount of school waste sent to landfills.

During the waste audit, participants:

Worked in small groups to sort waste into proper DSNY collection categories and to determine the pounds of waste diverted from landfill. Afterwards, identified trends and discussed ideas for better waste sorting practices in their school.

Request new signage from DSNY to label waste bins.
